Holiday Things To Do Around Georgetown


Looking to get into the holiday spirit?  Here are a few things going on in Georgetown and Austin to help you get into that frame of mind!


Austin Trail of Lights- For 55 years now, Zilker Park has played host to a magnificent holiday tradition.  Annually, an estimated 400,000 people attend the trail of lights.  This massive event from December 10ththrough December 23rd includes a fun run, live music, movie night, Heroes night, University of Texas night and so much more.  There are over 30 of your favorite food vendors serving at this event as well.  For more information and to purchase tickets visit


39th Annual Christmas Stroll- Friday December 6th from 5-9pm and Saturday December 7th from 10am- 8pm you can get some of your shopping done at the 150+ arts and crafts booths in the beautiful Town Square in Georgetown.  Enjoy food and drinks from local vendors, a holiday parade, Bethlehem Village, live entertainment, kids’ activities and rides.  On Friday night meet the Grinch and have dessert with him followed by a showing of Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas.  For more information visit


Swim with Santa- Friday December 13th from 5:30-7:30pm bring your swimsuit and camera and capture this unique and fun experience of swimming with Santa at Georgetown Recreation Center Indoor Pool.  Kids and adults of all ages will have a splashing good time decorating cookies with Santa’s elves, swimming with Santa himself and watching movies in the pool.  Bring your friends and family!  Hot chocolate and candy canes will be given out.  For more information and costs please visit


Breakfast with Santa- Come hungry on December 14th from 7:30-11am and enjoy pancakes, sausage, coffee and juice served by firefighters and Rotarians at the Georgetown Community Center.  Kids will have the opportunity to hop on a fire truck, visit with local firefighters and have their picture taken with Santa.  For more information visit
