Located less than 10 miles from Water Oak this massive 525-acre park is spectacular!  It is home to an array of fun things to do for all ages.  This precious ranch was generously donated along with 5 million dollars in cash for the park’s development by Jack and Camille Garey in 2004.  Since then a bond of an additional $10 million was approved for the park’s construction.

Currently, the park has more than 7 miles of trails, two stocked ponds for fishing, one that is 2 acres in size and the other is 1.5 acres.

You can also enjoy the 4.5 acres of fenced off-leash Dog Ranch with your four-legged friends.  There are separate areas for large and small dogs, 5 shaded picnic areas, and water stations with doggie drinking fountains.

If your four-legged friends are larger in size you may enjoy spending some time at the Equestrian Amenities, these include practice pens, trailer parking, trails for horseback riding, water stations, a wash rack, and an arena.

If you enjoy birding and nature watching, there is a wildlife viewing blind located along Meadow Trail.

Garey Park also features a magnificent 2 acres of Play Ranch with nature-inspired playgrounds, some for older children and some for younger children.  There are swings, green space, a merry-go-round, bouncy rides, and zip lines.
